Located on a quiet side-street just off Ave. Heroes (opposite Boxito) you'll find the clinic and hospital of Dr. Patricio RiveroMedina. This gentle, experienced vet offers a wide variety of routine services for dogs, cats, birds and small mammals. Dr. Rivero speaks both Spanish and English; his clinic services include:

Annual checkups
Diagnose pet health problems
Injury & accident care
Provide or prescribe medications
Cesarean deliveries
Soft-tissue and tumor surgery
Vaccinations
Parasite prevention and treatment
Teeth cleaning
Toenail clipping
Sterilization of females and males

The clean, comfortable, well-organized clinic offers routine and emergency surgery and includes a hospital, should your pet need overnight or intensive care. Dr. Rivero is happy to work with pet owners to advise them about care, feeding, breeding and behavior of their pets.

For x-rays, ultrasound, blood work or other diagnostic services, Dr. Rivero works with a variety of local specialists and can ensure that your pet receives the best possible diagnostic care.

Call ahead for an appointment or, in an emergency, bring your pet directly to the clinic. Parking is usually available right in front and Dr. Rivero speaks English, so tourists and visitors can feel their pets will receive the care they need. Clinical Animal Bahia does not offer pet grooming or bathing, but is happy to refer you to nearby facilities specializing in these services.
