At Villa Manati, we know that some tourists, visitors and vacationers are enthusiasts with a passion for specific activities. To make sure our clients have the same high-quality experiences as we provide on our tours and packages, Villa Manati staff work with a variety of time-tested operators to partner in providing several options just for enthusiasts: swimming with dolphins, deep-sea fishing, Caribbean beach clubbing,  horse-back riding, camping, hiking, kayaking, and cenote rappelling.

SWIM WITH DOLPHINS   The VIP beach club at Uvero offers children and adults opportunity to interact and swim with a group of dolphins within a large enclosure at the edge of the beautiful blue Caribbean sea. Travel by van from Villa Manati to Uvero where you will attend an orientation and educational briefing on dolphins. On the hour from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, groups of ten people don life vests and join the dolphins in their enclosure. The dolphins greet the people, swim around and with them, and perform several tricks before returning to their pens. Uvero staff will take photos (for sale at additional cost) during your 25 minute swim with dolphins.

DEEP-SEA FISHING    The Bahia of Chetumal and the Caribbean nearby offer some of the most exciting sport fishing available and Villa Manati is ready get you out on the water today. Our 27 foot sea-worthy boat comes equipped with all the gear: rods, reels, rigging, live bait well, a knowledgeable guide, and all required permits. Whether you are looking to hook white or blue marlin, sailfish, wahoo, barracuda, dorado or tuna, count on Villa Manati to provide a safe, fun adventure for up to four persons.

CARIBBEAN BEACH CLUB   Travel by van from Villa Manati to Uvero -- one of the most stunning beaches found on the Costa Maya and, perhaps, the whole Caribbean. This totally-equipped VIP Beach Club has miles of beautiful, clean beaches with lounge chairs, shower and locker rooms, restaurants, volleyball, and several bars and bathrooms along the beach.  As a VIP guest, you have five hours of fun in the sun with free bar. Want to rent a WaveRunner, sailboard, fast runabout or other water toy? Remember to bring cash; credit cards are not accepted.

KAYAKING   Villa Manati is pleased to offer two sea kayaking adventures (for fresh-water kayaking, please contact the Villa Manati offices to discuss options.) The six-hour Tamalcab Island kayak tour departs from the beautiful bayside town of Calderitas and heads across the Bahia of Chetumal to the uninhabited island wildlife preserve of Tamalcab. On the small beach there, we'll enjoy a snack and beverage while we explore the island. Then we depart to return to Calderitas and a nice meal in a local restaurant.  The Xcalak Kayak Tour is a five-day, six night tour that explores the beautiful barrier reef running along the Xcalak Peninsula and the Costa Maya. Start in Xcalak and explore Boca Bacalar Chico and the mangrove systems along the shore and islands, as well as many beautiful reefs and beaches north and south of the village of Xcalak. Includes all equipment, food, hammock or tent camping, and experienced guide.

RAPPEL IN THE CENOTE OF THE GOLDEN ALIGATOR   This two-day one night expedition brings you by kayak along jungle rivers and streams until you reach the Cenote of the Golden Alligator. Rappel the 230 foot drop from cenote's jungle edge to its water.  We'll spend the night camping in La Union, where we can watch hundreds of bats emerge at dusk. Next day, we'll hike to the cenote "Los Cuates" (The Twins) for more rope and rappel work. Includes all equipment, training, meals and beverages, camping, and transportation.

HIKING IN THE JUNGLE   This six-hour tour takes you by van from Chetumal to Revolución Village for a jungle walk guided by an experienced specialist who explains the regions flora, fauna and geology. Discussion of how the Maya people used and use the land are interspersed with information about the plants and animals we see.  Includes transportation, guide and lunch and beverages in the field.
